Looking for a house, cabin, or ski chalet in Colorado? Be sure to check out the vacation rentals in Pine. This town has a few major attractions, most notably Pike National Forest, which it borders.
Pine is a town flanked by mountains. You can get to it by following a gloriously twisting canyon. On the floor of the canyon is the town, where you can see the beginning of the Rocky Mountains and - you guessed it - plenty of pine trees and other vegetation. Itís especially well-watered thanks to the South Platte River, which passes through the town limits.
What can you do in Pine? Itís a popular place for hiking and biking - again, remember that its next-door neighbor is the vast preserve of Pike National Forest. Itís also popular with mountain climbers, thanks to the Sphinx Rock. And part of the legendary Colorado Trail winds through the township of Pine.
A vacation rental in Pine is a great place to come if you want to literally get away from it all. Youíre about 50 miles southwest of Denver and a winding 60 miles to Castle Rock. Keep in mind, though, that at least some of these miles are down twisty mountain roads and plan your trip accordingly.
