About Telluride Area Vacation Rentals

When you picture yourself at a vacation rental in the heart of Telluride, what do you see yourself doing?  Swishing down snow-covered slopes?  Dining at gourmet restaurants?  Admiring the tall peaks that dominate the landscape around this town?  Or is your vacation fantasy of a summer wonderland, with time spent listening to live music, hiking, fishing, and shopping?  In Telluride, you can get both.

Telluride is in the southwestern corner of Colorado.  Thanks to Telluride Regional Airport, getting here via air travel is fairly easy.  If you’re planning on driving, keep the mountain roads in mind and plan on extra time for the trip.

The Telluride area is made up of two distinct towns; the town of Telluride, a historical small town in a box canyon, and Mountain Village, a much more recent addition to the landscape that was primarily built to advance local tourism.

What can you do from the house, cabin, or chalet that you rent in the Telluride Area?  If you come for the snowy season, your options include skiing, ice climbing, and dogsleding.  In the summertime, you can take those same mountain trails and hike or bike them.  You can also fish in the San Miguel River or go boating or rafting.  Festivals also come to Telluride in the warmer months; these include Mountainfilm in Telluride, the Telluride Jazz Celebration, the Telluride Film Festival, and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Set among stunning scenery and snowy mountain peaks, a vacation rental in Telluride is a great way to experience some of nature’s most elaborate beauty.  If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the Telluride area, check out the nearby town of Ophir as well.
