The Newhard Chalet, built by the Newhard family, was the first house in Snowmass Village, built in 1967. The current home is a mountain modern house, built in 2000. The home is on three levels on 1/2 acre adjoining a green belt, with aspen and spruce trees framing the house.
Entry is through the front door into living room with fireplace, comfortable seating, and sweeping valley and mountain views. Dining area has two oval tables with seating in captain's chairs for up to 20 people. Large, very well equipped kitchen opens onto the dining area. Master bedroom and full bath are located off the living room. Entry from living area to deck with gas barbeque and all-weather chairs.
Upper level leads to a bedroom with 2 twins, loft with 2 twins, plus full bath and storage area. Lower level has 3 queen bedrooms, family room with queen sofabed, 2 full baths and laundry. Family room opens onto lower deck with large hot tub.
All bedrooms and family room have TVs. Several DVD players are also available.
All linens, towels, soaps, paper and laundry detergents are supplied.
Please note that ski season is from late November to mid-April. Off-season rentals are available.

Ideal climate good skiing year around leisure. Excellent snow conditions are typical during the ski season. Off season offers many options for leisure, such as hiking, golfing, fishing, biking, fine dining, horseback riding, river rafting in summer, the beauty of seasonal changes, and a great place for family reunions.
Rental Rates
Ski Season begins Thanksgiving Day and ends in mid April.
All rentals are subject to 12.8% sales tax (estimate). The week includes 7 nights, unless special arrangements are made in advance.
Low Early Season: November 28th to December 17th, $3900 weekly, $560 daily.
Holiday Season: December 18th to January 7th, $7,200 weekly, $1,050 daily.
Low January Season: January 8th to January 28th, $3,900 weekly, $600 daily.
Regular Season: January 19th to March 25th, $4,900 weekly, $750 daily.
Late Season: March 26th to April 15th, $3,900 weekly, $560 daily.
Off Season: $2,500 weekly, daily negotiable
Summer Season: $3,000 weekly, daily negotiable
2 day minimum, 12.8% sales tax
- Minimum Stay: 2 Nights
- Check-In: 5 p.m.
- Check-Out: 10 a.m.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation, it is necessary to charge for the time that is confirmed by deposit unless the chalet is re-rented. Please note that any costs incurred as a result of the re-rental will be deducted from the deposit.
